The Women of St. John’s invites all parishioners and friends to attend our May social. Tru Helms will present ‘Across the Street’ on her research concerning the relationship between St. John’s Church and the Green-Meldrim House. After the presentation, we’ll enjoy appetizers, libations and fellowship. GMH doors will open at 5:30, short business meeting and presentation will begin at 6 pm. Spouses and friends welcome! Registration & a donation of $10 per person are suggested, but not required (click here to register)

Notes from the Boy's Choir

Director Kristi Bryson reports: The boys are becoming great friends. They made it clear to me that they're keen to share their love of singing with friends and would like to recruit more boys for next year. We currently have 7; I think we can manage up to 12 next year. If you know of anyone who might be interested please have them contact me


Volunteers Needed for Living Vine Tournament (and lunch!)

MONDAY, May 13, 2024 Crosswinds Golf Club 31408


We are excited to have a golf team of men and ladies ready to play in the The Living Vine Maternity Home's inaugural charity golf event, "Links for The Living Vine" ! We can now use 3-5 additional volunteers to be stationed at holes in the course on the day of the tournament. No golf experience needed! This includes a delicious fried chicken and banana pudding lunch. If you can help, please contact Melanie Helmken ( mbhelmken@gmail.com)

2024 Summer Concerts open Wed. May 22

St. John's Garden Mall, 7 p.m.


We are thrilled to begin our Summer Concerts with Ethan Nathaniel, a singer/songwriter out of Charlotte, NC, who will be performing on Wednesday May 22 at 7 pm in the Green-Meldrim Mall. His new album “Sidelines” is available at all the normal outlets. The concert is free of charge and there will be food trucks on site with food for purchase. More info at stjohnssav.org/arts

2024 Summer Youth Guide Program

at the Green-Meldrim House beginning June 6


A Youth Guide is a trained and skilled historic house tour guide.

This program is open to students age 14-18 (rising 9th through 12th grades). For more information on this exciting learning and volunteer opportunity, click here .


Help a Young Parishioner

Parishioners are encouraged to help a member of St. John's youth, Hunter Brigdon, as he prepares for a trip to South Africa next month. Hunter is collecting supplies to distribute to those in need on his trip. To learn more about the Safari Club International Blue Bag program and what supplies Hunter is collecting, visit the SCI website here.
